Abstract
This thesis is supposed to create a care planning for home nursing to patients with rare neurodegenerative disease, helping patients and families and supporting nurses who are faced with this path.
The first chapter shows Olivopontocerebellar Atrophy (OPCA) with signs and simptoms that characterize it, possible diagnostic methods, available treatments and prognosis.
The second chapter describes home nursing, particulary activities and practitioners involved in integrated home care in Modena, with a depth about Palliative Care way, in which could also be included patients with OPCA.
In the third chapter, starting from a case report assisted during the training period in integrated home care in Modena, is showed a nursing planning in some different steps of the course of the disease, with NANDA-I, NOC and NIC taxonomies.
