Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to describe the importance of proper and effective nursing care to the patient with suspected Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).
During the thesis the main features of the virus and the pathogenesis of the disease will be initially exposed; the signs of the epidemiology, from the beginning of the epidemic until today will also be discussed.
The mode of transmission of the infection, the definition of the event / contact and the prevention and control are topics widely discussed within the thesis, considering the central Protocol for the management of cases and contacts in Italy.
The nursing care to a patient with suspected Ebola virus disease must take into account several factors, including the presence of protective equipment, to put a strain on the contact person-nurse, essential to create a relationship of trust .
The part that describes nursing sees the writing of priority nursing diagnoses, with various interventions to be implemented.
