Abstract
The thesis elaborates a deep personal path, which winds through the experience of territorial internship at the Center for Mental Health in Modena, readings and deepening personal, critical reflection on the subject, to give voice to what essentially still remains a hidden argument, uncertain contours and shaded, a taboo to be avoided carefully.
In the first part of the elaborate is taken into account the issue of suicide, defining the context, the epidemiological distribution and risk factors associated with organic and psychological. Then follows the discussion of preventive strategies and risk mitigation suicidal, defining the nursing role in the various health and social setting to meet with the patient and treating the ordinary and the crisis, placing a focus on therapy, the tools, the interdependence disciplinary health workers and tools in support of nursing interventions (NANDA, NOC, NIC), forming a complete and organic argument.
