Abstract

During the internship at Centre for disease mental to Modena I got to know a Voluntary Association founded by people with mental health problems "Idee in circolo" in which there would be two groups of Auto Mutual Help of Auditors of Voices, who welcome those who are suffering from auditory hallucinations. The motivation that prompted me to prepare a thesis on this topic was the curiosity to understand in depth this type of disorder. Through a literature search and through participation in some meetings of the same group of Auto Loan Help, I could enrich my knowledge and improve my skills. Who lives this condition, in western culture, is often marginalized or labelled as "crazy", so I consider it necessary to study and disseminate my experience. During my supervision within the group showed that the main problem of the auditors is not feeling accepted and understood by the community and, at the same time, their difficulty in relating to it. Another element of the study was the role of facilitator of the nurse within the group AMA. In my experience was crucial to properly prepare for the work of the group, because, although still in a marginal position with respect to the group, had the ability to manage and stimulate the participation of users who had not yet developed the ability to do so autonomously. Over time, the role of the nurse must be external to the group AMA , as now : the group is facilitated by a hearer of voices , nurse remains as an interface between the Centre for Mental Health and the AMA group for the reporting 4 of new participants and for comparison in case there are critical situations . Moreover, in the thesis I reported an interview conducted a user hearer of voices, with schizophrenia disease.
