Abstract

The cerebral aneurysm is a disease that can remain undetected for years, even for life, unless it is occasionally found in it during diagnostic tests for further investigation, does not give symptoms of "mass effect" or does not experience rupture, causing hemorrhage.
This elaborate has the objective of analyzing the case in which the ruptured aneurysm causes subarachnoid hemorrhage, and then how to assist the subject which is located in this situation, referring to the available literature.
In the first part discusses the etiology of the aneurysm and subarachnoid hemorrhage with clinical features, possible treatments of traditional or endovascular neurosurgery, prognosis and prevention. The second part made ​​a brief mention of the assistance pre-operative and post-operative intensive care, then focus more on what is the post-operative care in the Department of Neurosurgery and rehabilitation.
The review of the literature was conducted by searching the available databases, namely PubMed, Cochrane Library, National Guideline Clearinghouse and Nursing Reference Center with keywords: cerebrovascular disorders, cerebral aneurysm; have also been used in some textbooks and brochures produced by the operating units.
