Abstract

In Italy there is little knowledge about poisonous animals. My elaborate analyzes which are mainly and what consequences may lead to man their attacks. I have done the research literature, starting from the books inside the library of the 'University of Modena. The search string for the literature review included the thesaurus terms: "Viper Bite And emergency treatment", "Inoculation poisoning". The primary databases consulted were the following: PubMed, Up to Date, CINAHL, Scopus.
Then I considered the analysis of secondary databases: reviews of primary studies (review), guidelines, evidence summary. The databases consulted were: the Cochrane Library, Joanna Briggs Institute, Clinical Evidence, UpToDate, RNAO, National Guidelines Claringhouse, Nursing Reference Center. In Italy poisonous animals belong to arachnids, fishes, insects and snakes. The Arachnids include spiders, scorpions, insects, wasps and ticks. Of all these I have summarized the characteristics, problems that can lead and provide assistance to their victims. The most dangerous are snakes and poisonous snakes belong to the viperidae's family. In this thesis we will discuss the epidemiology of bites, signs and symptoms and treatment of both pre-hospital and hospital care. In the end, I analyzed a case report, and formulated the nursing diagnoses.
