Abstract
The profound changes that have affected the nursing profession from the nineties to the present, the transition from the concept of health as merely the absence of disease, that of complete physical, psychological and social , the increase in chronic diseases and the number of patients not self-sufficient, led by health professionals increased workload, in order to ensure assistance to the patient as possible individualized and comprehensive . The complexity of nursing work , nowadays requires a support for the technical part, so you can devote the time and energy necessary to support process.
The purpose of this dissertation is to eradicate the concept is still in force with regard to the activities carried out by the OSS , perceived as a threat to the nursing profession and to focus the emphasis on how to make use of support staff as a resource for nursing staff , who would have more time to devote to their specific professional , from the individualized plan of care based on the needs of each client, with the goal of making higher quality care and focus on delivering results.
