Abstract

In recent years, stress and psychological distress of health care workers have been studied with great interest and attention in order to define the causes and major consequences that have an impact on the care plan, individual and organizational. As we all know the helping professions always involves a certain degree of stress that should not be overlooked, however, and especially must not degenerate into disorder, but remain a stimulus to its proximity to users, in collaboration with the team without ever losing the sense of the vital role that takes place and consequently fall into the limbo of the dramatic burnout. This can take considerable size and is therefore the task of the company trying to protect the health of their employees and ensure the quality of their services to a specific group of users. Burnout is then that defensive strategy that the individual puts in place and that is accompanied by a drop in motivation. The major discomfort occurs when the operator is engaged in a professional helping relationship that imposes a high emotional cost and in most cases leads to indifference and cynicism of their profession and the users themselves.
