The topic develops in three levels: the first one is an overview on sleep his physiology and the diagnosis methods utilized for evince anomalies in the sleep patterns; the second part lead to the heart of the matter explaining the consequences and the etiology of sleep loss in the intensive care units. In the third parts of the thesis are regrouped the nurses intervention to rehabilitate patients sleep and the conclusion.
