This thesis will explore the theme of bipolar disorder, as a result to the direct experience had during the apprenticeship in the last year of University. Everything will be analyzed through the study of clinical case, describing the assistance, by qualified staff, and methods of treatment, from psychological to pharmacological and health, this is very important to helps patients cope with the daily difficulties.The different chapters deal epidemiology aspects, etiology, clinical manifestations, and the different possible treatments of the disease describing each stage, depression, hypomania, mania.
We talked about the historical evolution of psychiatric nurse, DM 739 of 1994, abrogation of the job description, code of ethics, and the role of the nurse, about interpersonal relationship, therapeutic compliance management, and the different stage of the rehabilitation project.
A chapter is dedicated to organization of local services of Modena (mental health center, day center “ La madonnina”…) to which psychiatric patients can if the need help, getting adequated day care that allows an improvement of their health.
Finally, last chapter is devoted to the clinical case of Flora and the care plan, with objectives and interventions to realize, to improve his mental and physical condition.
