Abstract
Starting from two case-reports, the thesis aims at analyzing distinctive traits in gunshot wounds: epidemiologic data about this kind of trauma, firearm peculiarities on both military and civilian environment, features of the wounds in the different body regions, with related medical cases and possible complications. About this particular trauma type first approach has primary importance, as the subsequent procedures. Therefore, thesis' second part is an explanation of the phases of diagnostic and therapeutic workup, from first intervention in the event scene to first aid and recovery process.
