Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in industrialized countries. Events such as Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) jeopardize patients' lives suddenly and radically changing the perception of self and the physical and / or mental disabilities. The psychological symptoms are strongly associated with coronary heart disease because heart attacks and heart surgery can be frightening and traumatic . These events often lead to patients psychological disorders , many patients suffer mainly from anxiety and depression . This thesis aims to explore the impact of mental disorders (depression and anxiety ) associated with cardiovascular diseases such as acute myocardial infarction , assessing the tools necessary for a correct identification of patients at risk and the identification of appropriate treatment ( pharmacological and no ) . In addition to these aspects , the intent is to demonstrate the importance of the communication strategy and the various forms of support as focal points for the adaptation to a new health condition that may be of assistance to the nursing staff in order to reduce this impact emotional . Promote the well-being of these patients also means adopting new strategies that can act directly on their emotional state, such as listening to music during coronary revascularization procedures , which seems to show significant benefits on reducing depressive symptoms. The nursing responsibility to apply these techniques and taking charge of the patient promote the autonomy of the profession and the notion that nurses can influence the environment and the health outcomes of pazienti.Gli screening for mental disorders , pharmacotherapy , psychotherapy , and nursing facilitate recovery of cardiac patients undergoing coronary revascularization .
