My thesis focuses attention on the relationship between nurse and patient psychiatric why, the weaker from the psychological point of view, it requires more attention and care.
The nurse never must forget that at the center of his working life there must be the patient and for this reason we must not only consider his technical skills, but above all human qualities which should be transmitted to the patient. The quality of the nurse will have to be perfect: empathy, which means widen their experiences making them able to accept the pain and joy of others; listening, a type of active listening particularly to support the patient; helping relationship, type of relationship in which at least one of the two protagonists in the other promotes the achievement of a course of action most appropriate, integrated, and humanity, or the ability to empathize with others, to put yourself in his shoes.
All these features are critical to the patient's recovery because their suffering is not suffering so much in itself but it depends mainly on the type of "response" receiving nurse.
