Abstract

OBJECTIVE: This essay want’s underline the role of the nurse who works inside an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, that take care of a person affected by a stroke and his family. The main attention will be given to the therapeutical education made in the post acute care period, that is necessary to find out again the equilibrium position in  the new life style of the duo patient-caregiver.
 
METHOD: Through an anatomical description of the cerebral and vascular of the encephalon, it can  be defined the stroke, ischemic and hemorrhagic, and it can be described the signals and symptoms of the hilliness connect with the damaged cerebral zone. Moreover, using studying papers, it can be defined the therapeutical education and are presented the elements that identify the therapeutical educator and the specific nursing operations. Then it’s drawn an aid plan for the unit patient-caregiver using the surmise NANDA 2009-2011 about the clinical problems that  mainly demarcate the personal independence.
 
RESULTS: Since the 1994 the educational component has been considered a trait of the nurse, thanks to the D.M n. 739. Internationally the nurse covers an overriding role in the management of the process of therapeutical education of a patient with stroke. The nurse in fact will cover during the check of the needs, during the definition of the objectives, the actuation of focused operations necessary to the evaluation of the process. The nurse will collaborate with other competent people, by means of cross  procedure in order to achieve the bio-psycho-physic-social equilibrium of the patient.
 
CONCLUSIONS: The therapeutical education is becoming a leading objective in order to guarantee the knowledge of the individual that has the claim to decide about his health with more awareness.
