Abstract
This thesis aims to the management of complications, by cardiac surgical intensive care nurse, in patient undergoing coronary artery by-pass grafting. Is a compilatory thesis created by a rewiew of paper books and articles. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the anatomy of the heart and physiology of the coronary circulation. The second chapter talks about the process of atheroma formation and various clinical sindromes caused by atherosclerosis. The third chapter explains the procedure of coronary artery by-pass grafting and the various techniques used to perform the surgery. Are also cited, thanks to the analysis of the guidelines, patients indicated for intervention and the various ducts used for the revascularization. The fourth chapter deals with the monitoring of the patient in the intensive care unit and the various areas assessed by nurse. Is also depth the figure of intensive care nurse, by referring to the american cardiac surgical practitioner. Finally, the fifth chapter cites the various complications that occur after surgery for coronary artery by-pass grafting and various nursing interventions implemented to manage them.
